Disaster Date Requirement
Associa Cares provides financial assistance for natural or man-made disasters that occurred within the past 6 months. Applications for events older than six months are not eligible for assistance.
Primary Residence Requirement
Associa Cares provides aid only when disaster-related damage has occurred to a primary residence. A primary residence is defined as the home where you live for the majority of the year and is intended for full-time living. It does not include the yard, fencing, or other adjoining spaces.
Based on the information provided, your situation does not seem meet current eligibility requirements to continue the application. If you have questions about eligibility, please contact us for further information.
Your responses indicate you may qualify for Associa Cares disaster relief assistance. Please complete the application form on the next page.
Displacement occurs when a disaster forced you to live away from your home for a period of time.
Short-term = Less than 90 days
Long-term = More than 90 days
Permanent = You will not be able to move back into your home and require new permanent housing (this includes total rebuilds for homeowners and moveouts mandated by landlords for renters).
1. Current State or Government Issued ID
2. Proof of Residence
Provide documentation to verify that the disaster address is your primary residence. Acceptable documents include a current lease, deed, mortgage statement, or homeowner’s or renter’s insurance policy. (If you are unable to provide one of these documents due to your housing type, please complete the application and contact us to explain the situation.)
3. Supporting Documentation of Disaster (Required)
Please note that you may be asked to provide additional supporting documentation, depending upon the nature or circumstances of the disaster. We recommend providing as much documentation as possible to verify both the disaster and address of the disaster.
Disaster Documents
Official document that includes the disaster address such as fire or police reports, FEMA, Red Cross or insurance letters, repair or contractor receipts, or property management communication confirming damage or required repairs. For home fires, a fire report is required and must indicate that the fire was accidental or unintentional.
